Description

The new FD2.1C, FD2.1AC, FD2.1EC complete the range of FD family drives, combining together a robust integration with the motor and advanced motion functionalities accessible via Modbus RTU, CANopen or EtherCAT communication.

FD drives are all controlled by ARM-based microcontroller.

They are equipped with very low RDS-on MOSFETs and Hall-effect current sensors to optimize power efficiency.

The drives mount a 14-bit magnetic encoder, which can be used to verify the correct execution of the ordered steps, to modulate the motor current with the load and other functions, which are described in detail on firmware manuals.

They are equipped with configurable I/O’s (3 digital inputs, 1 selectable digital or analogue input and 2 digital outputs), which can be used as step, direction, quadrature steps, homing sensor, alarm, running, start, stop, etc.

  • FD2C communicates in Modbus RTU,
  • FD2AC in CANopen,
  • FD2EC in EtherCAT using CoE protocol (CAN over EtherCAT).

Two industrial M12 circular connectors for the in-out of the field-bus are used.

RS-232 port, accessible opening drive cover, is used for firmware and parameters flash programming.

The drive logic is supplied from external 24 VDC, insulated from power supply, which allows to keep communication and multiturn position counting active in case of loss of main power supply.
