Integrated motor drivers
FD1 and FD2
The integrated drives and motors are all powered by direct current. There are two main families: FD1 and FD2. The former (up to 7 APk and 80 VDC) are generally mounted on motors of size between NEMA17 and NEMA34, while the FD2, capable of higher currents and voltages (up to 10 APk and 130 VDC), are applied to motors of size NEMA34.
Stand-alone drivers
COM, FD3, FD4, FD5 and FD6
Stand-alone drivers are distinguished between those with AC power supply and those with DC power supply. The former implement a rectifier inside them to create the direct voltage. The latter are designed to be connected all in parallel on a single DC bus, using external capacitors if not present in the DC power supply. Different sizes are available: from 24 VAC (24 VDC), up to 115 VAC (165 VDC). The current to the motor is controlled with a micro-step technique with configurable resolution.
